Due to a comprehensive lobbying effort, the 2009-2010 enacted state Budget allows marinas to continue applying protective paints to boats without any significant changes in oversight and regulation. The Budget language ensures that New York’s marine industry is treated similarly to all the other industries that apply pesticides in the state.
